Caution
- Never immerse the cleaning system or
the charging stand in water and do not

- Never immerse the shaver in water .
Do not use the shav er in the bath or in

rinse the shaver .
- Only use this appliance for its intended
purpose as shown in the user manual.
- For hygienic reasons, the appliance
should only be used by one person.
- Never use compressed air , scour ing
pads, abr asive cleaning agents or
aggressive liquids such as petrol or
acetone to clean the appliance.
- If your sha ver comes with a cleaning
system, always use the original Philips
cleaning uid (car tr idge or bottle,
depending on the type of cleaning
system).
- Always place the cleaning system on a
stable, lev el and hor izontal surface to
prevent leakage.
- If your cleaning system uses a cleaning
car tr idge, alwa ys make sure the
car tr idge compar tment is closed
before you use the cleaning system to
clean or charge the shaver .
- When the cleaning system is ready for
use, do not mov e it to prevent leakage
of cleaning uid.
- W ater may drip from the socket at the
bottom of the shav er when you rinse
it. This is normal and not dangerous
because all electronics are enclosed in
a sealed pow er unit inside the shaver .
- Do not use the supply unit in or near
wall sockets that contain an electric
air freshener to prevent irrepar able
damage to the supply unit.

detachable supply unit (A00390)
provided with the appliance.
- The supply unit contains a transformer .
Do not cut off the supply unit to
replace it with another plug, as this
causes a hazardous situation.
- This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and
per sons with reduced physical, sensor y
or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they hav e
been given super vision or instr uction
concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards

General
- This shav er can be safely cleaned under
the tap (Fig. 4).
- The supply unit is suitable f or mains
voltages ranging from 100 to 240 volts.
- The supply unit tr ansforms 100-240 volts
to a safe low v oltage of less than 24 volts.
Charging
Make sure the sha ver is switched off when
you star t to char ge it.
When you charge the shav er for the r st
time or after a long period of non-use , let it
charge continuously for 12 hour s. Char ging
normally takes 10 hour s.
Charge the appliance when the motor
stops or star ts r unning slower .
For optimal performance , only char ge the
shav er when the batter y is low .
Do not lea ve the appliance connected to
the mains for more than 24 hours.

, The charging light goes on to indicate
that the appliance is charging (Fig. 5).
Note: Charge the shaver for at least 8 hours
but not more than 24 hours .
2 Remove the ada pter from the wall
socket and pull the plug out of the
sha ver when the battery is fully
charged (Fig. 6).
Note: The shaver does not run from the mains.
When the batter y is empty, you have to
recharge the batter y before you can use the
shaver again.
Cordless sha ving time
A fully charged shaver has a cordless sha ving
time of approximatel y 45 (S360), 30 (S331,
S330, S321) or 20 (S311, S301, S300)
minutes.
Using the appliance
Y our r st shaves ma y not br ing you the
result you expect and y our skin may even
become slightly irr itated. This is normal.
Y our skin and beard need time to adapt to
any new sha ving system. W e advise you to
shav e regular ly (at least 3 times a week)
with this shav er for a period of 3 weeks to
allow y our skin to adapt to the new shaver .
